Welcome to Fluente Spanish! By booking a class, enrolling in lessons, or using our website, you agree to the following terms.
1. Our Services
Fluente Spanish provides live online Spanish lessons for adults through recurring monthly memberships.
2. $1 1x1 Classes
New students may schedule a $1 1x1 class to meet their teacher, ask questions, and discuss scheduling availability.
Following the 1x1 class, available recurring time slots may be reserved for a limited period of time pending enrollment.
3. Enrollment & Billing
All lessons are offered as recurring monthly memberships.
By enrolling, you authorize automatic recurring monthly billing using the payment method provided at checkout. Your membership will remain active until canceled.
Payments are securely processed through Stripe.
If a payment cannot be processed, future classes may be paused until the payment issue is resolved.
4. Class Credits & Scheduling
Our memberships use a flexible credit system. Credits are added to your account each time you subscribe or purchase a package, and you can book classes at any time that works for you, subject to teacher availability.
Credits expire three months from the date they are issued. When you book a class, credits are used on a first-in, first-out basis, meaning the credits closest to expiring are always used first.
You can view your current credit balance and expiration dates at any time in your account dashboard.
5. Holidays
There are no classes on the following major holidays: Easter, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
6. Missed or Cancelled Classes
If you miss a class without notice, the class is forfeited. We do not offer makeups or refunds for missed classes.
If you cancel a class more than 24 hours in advance, the credit will be refunded to your account. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the class, the credit is forfeited.
If a teacher misses a class and no substitute is available, we will refund the credit for that class. If a qualified substitute teacher is available, the class proceeds as normal and no refund is issued.
7. Communication with Teachers
All administrative and scheduling matters must go through our contact email rather than directly to teachers.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel your membership at any time by emailing us at least 24 hours before your next billing date to avoid future charges. After cancellation, your membership remains active through the end of the current paid month.
Any unused credits remain on your account after cancellation, but an active subscription is required to book classes. If you reactivate your membership before your credits expire (three months from the date they were issued), you can continue using them. Credits that expire while your subscription is inactive are forfeited, and no refunds are given for unused credits. We do not offer membership pauses — if you need a break, you can cancel and rejoin later.
9. Respectful Learning Environment
We are committed to a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all students and teachers. We reserve the right to cancel any subscription for disrespectful behavior or for making a teacher feel uncomfortable.
If we cancel a subscription on our end, we will refund a prorated amount for the remaining classes in the current month.
10. Contact
All questions, scheduling changes, and cancellation requests should be submitted through our website. You can expect a response within 24 hours on weekdays. Please do not contact teachers directly for administrative matters.
